Client Brief and Survey

We will discuss your ideas, requirements and aspirations to allow us to develop a 'design brief' for your project. Depending on the size of the project we sometimes prepare an accommodation schedule which outlines the various rooms and the anticipated room area.

To allow us to prepare accurate proposals, we will generally require a set of existing plans of the existing property that are to scale. Often this will require us to carry out a measured survey of the property from which we draw up the existing building. We then use these drawings as the basis for the subsequent sketches, planning and building warrant drawings.

Sometimes, particulary with larger developments or house plots, we recommend that a topographical survey be undertaken by a specialist surveying company. A topographical survey can accurately establish site boundaries, ground levels and any structures on the site using GPS technology.
